Vallis Alps on the Rise | ‘East’ – Single Review

Australian duo David Ansari and Parissa Tosif have come a long way from their self-titled debut album two years ago. Having sold out 11 of 12 Australian shows from their Fable World Tour, Vallis Alps are showing no signs of slowing down.

After the remarkable success of their 2016 single, ‘Fading’, reaching over 5 million online streams, the release of ‘East’ follows on strongly with a dive into a fresh and exciting territory.

‘East’ itself is ethereal bliss. Parissa’s delicate vocal tones meld seamlessly with David’s colourful synth layering in a way we have never heard from them before. With unique and dynamic textures, the single suggests that this exploration into a new sonic and lyric chapter will be something to look out for in their EP.

David and Parissa said of the track, “East was the first song we wrote for the new EP, and the last one we finished. It documents the realisation of how powerful and capable people can be in their youth… We felt the tone and concepts of our self-titles EP had served their purpose, so ‘East’ was the first point of departure into a soundscape that was exciting and new for us.”

Their EP, Fable, is to be released on the 31st of March with their World Tour continuing from Australia into the US and the UK. Tickets can be found here
