Opera in the Regions: West Australian Opera celebrates 50 years

2017 marks West Australian Opera’s 50th anniversary. So to celebrate this momentous achievement the company will be taking live opera to the regions of WA through its Opera in the Regions program.

The West Australian Opera will be visiting stunning locations such as The Pinnacles, Greenough and, later in the year, the Valley of Giants.

In April, Opera in the Pinnacles and Opera in Greenough will allow the West Australian Opera to perform amazing opera performances set against the backdrop of incredibly iconic WA landscapes creating an evening of musical experience like no other.

The performances will consist of a selection of operatic hits that are sure to be well known to opera lovers and might surprise any newcomers with how much they recognise.

Tickets for the performances are free but it is essential that you register online, as there are limited spots available.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a picnic, chairs, and blankets, and to gather friends for what is sure to be a unique evening of opera under the stars.
