Milky Chance’s ‘Folktronica’ All Set to Hit Perth

Milky Chance are crowd-pleasers, and I do mean that in a good way. Too often the “crowd-pleasers” of the artistic world are the most basic, tasteless and sickeningly saccharine, aiming to satisfy only the lowest common denominator and bid you farewell. Not so with this stellar German duo.

Chance’s eclectic fusion of evocative folk lyrics and low-octane electronic earworms – ‘folktronica’ – was showcased to massive global success on their debut album Sadnecessary released back in 2014; the epitome of their sound, ‘Stolen Dance’, was a worldwide chart topper and captured the hearts of music fans everywhere.

Now, riding high off the release of their sophomore album effort Blossom and a near sell-out world tour, the artful but crowd-pleasing Teutonic twosome will be gracing Perth with their presence once again, hitting up Metro City on May 10th, just days before they inevitably smash it at Groovin’ The Moo down in Bunbury.

With the support of Triple J sensation Amy Shark (of ‘Adore’ fame), this is yet another hugely anticipated Metro event you will not want to miss. Although don’t be too upset if you do – both Chance and Shark are headlining GTM, so you either get onto the rapidly selling out tickets as soon as you can, or blame yourself for the rest of your days. Good luck!

Tickets can be found at megatix & oztix
