At the Milan 2015 World’s Fair, renowned chef Massimo Bottura brought together 60 of the world’s best chefs to create a restaurant for the refugees and the homeless of Milan. They called the soup kitchen Refettorio Ambrosiano. In this extraordinary documentary about food waste, Bottura and the 60 chefs he invited transform wasted food into delicious meals. Theater of Life is a story about human compassion, but it is also a story about the interconnectivity of the food we eat, the planet we live on and eliminating hunger.
